Mom just called.
Mom: Busy?
Me: Nah, just finished with our morning meeting.
Mom: Wanna go to Mexico or Vegas?
Me: When?
Mom: The end of the month?
Me: Oh, I was hoping you’d say this weekend… (since it’s a super duper long weekend… and I can always extend it too)
Me: … oh yeah, WHY??
Mom: Just wanna get away… feeling restless lately…
Me: Me too!
My Mom’s cool. I’ve already done Mexico a couple of times… and my first time was actually with my mom. We hung out for a week at this lovely resort in Manzanillo… had pina coladas for breakfast… tequila shooters for nightcaps… and these 2 young guys tried to pick us up in the elevator the first night we got there. And that’s when I knew for certain that we were gonna have a fabulous week there! heh
I was kinda disappointed that my travel plan to HK/Vietnam/Cambodia/Thailand in May couldn’t come through. Maybe this quick-getaway would help ease the post-holiday/pre-bday/rainy-gloomy-Vancouver-days/daily-work-stress bahumbah I’ve been feeling….

Manzanillo is a great place to chill. I find that most of the other Mexican destinations are such party places, you can’t really just lay on the beach and relax.
Lanikai’s beautiful, isn’t it? Not too crowded with tourists like Waikiki.
I say go to Miami! And you can get inked up there too! lol
Go to Japan and run around naked at the onsen again!!
Why don’t you go to Southeast Asia with Kev & his crew? I’m sure you’d have a blast with them!

I wish I can travel with my Mom like that. I love my Mom but we don’t always get along. There’s always these little things that we drive each other insane. I know it’s usually “for my own good”. “Buuttt MOOOOMMMMM! I’m old enough to know better!” hahaha However, since I’ve moved out, things have gotten much better.
Go stay at a nice hotel in Sin City! You can always just stay at the hotel and go for a spa or something.

i went to lanikai last summer! we drove up the coast and caught some waves. da kine, man!!
